Industry Excellence Awards

Real Estate & Right of Way

Southeastern Electric Exchange will recognize the most outstanding real estate and right-of-way products/projects, which were initiated or implemented by member utilities. Products/projects may involve ecology management, office management and outsourcing, new appraisal methodologies, new land management technologies or techniques, right-of-way acquisition or any combination related thereto. SEE will announce one winner for this category.

Awards Criteria

The following weighted criteria will be used in judging the entries. Note: An entry need not address all of these criteria in order to be considered:

30% - Innovations
Innovation in any/all of the following areas:

  • Appraisal
  • Environment
  • Acquisition
  • Property Management
  • Real Estate Engineering
  • Real Estate Law

20% - Improvements
Were there improvements in current performance or standards made in any/all of the following areas? Were these planned or stated in the original goals or were they a result of the design process:

  • Management (including Reliability of Availability)
  • Cost (Initial and Life Cycle)
  • Productivity
  • Efficiency
  • Stewardship
  • Environmental

20% - Achievements
What were the goals or expected results of this product/project? Were they met? What obstacles were encountered and how were they overcome or met?

10% - Requirements/Expectations
Were the requirements of any of the following groups met or exceeded by this product/project?

  • Customer
  • Industry
  • Utility (Shareholder)
  • Regulator
  • Public
  • Landowner

10% - Technical Complexity
What was the relative complexity of this product/project?
